Endowments and Legacies Given:

We give thanks to all those who have helped secure the future of our Catholic school through endowed funds and estate commitments. Donors may designate gifts to an existing fund, to the general tuition assistance fund at either PPCF or CLS or create a new, named fund (requirements for naming a fund differ at PPCF and CLS).

FR. TIM CRONIN CATHOLIC EDUCATION FUND, CLS
As an educator, Fr. Tim Cronin devoted most of his life to Catholic Education. He served as associate pastor at Corpus Christi Church until his passing in 1991. The parish wanted to honor his memory by establishing a memorial scholarship fund in his honor. The fund, like Fr. Tim’s contributions to Catholic education, will serve the students at Corpus Christi Catholic School in perpetuity.

FRED A. HOFFMAN II ENDOWMENT FUND, CLS
This fund was created in memory of Fred A. Hoffman II by his parents, Fred and Elizabeth Hoffman in 1997 to provide funding to Holy Trinity Catholic School. With the close of that school in June 2007, Elizabeth Hoffman has directed that the new beneficiary of the fund shall be Corpus Christi Catholic School.

JAMES F. AND JUANITA M. ORFF CATHOLIC EDUCATION ASSISTANCE FUND, CLS
James Orff and his daughter Christina Orff Brims (pictured) established this fund in 2014 to provide assistance for tuition, uniforms, and other related activity expenses enabling recipient students to participate as other students do when attending Corpus Christi Catholic School. The fund honors James and Juanita Orff, and Juanita’s mother, Maria Sylvia Sanchez, for their lifelong passion for Catholic education.

JAMES H. LADOWSKI MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP ENDOWMENT FUND, CLS
This fund was originally established to provide scholarships to students attending Holy Trinity Catholic School in memory of James H. Ladowski. With the close of Holy Trinity Catholic School in June 2007, it was necessary to state a new purpose for the fund. The new purpose of the fund is to provide scholarship assistance to middle school students (grades six, seven or eight) at Corpus Christi Catholic School.

JAMES V. VARRONE — CORPUS CHRISTI ENDOWMENT FUND, CLS
James Varrone was tireless in his dedication to Corpus Christi Catholic School. Since his passing in 1984, Corpus Christi students and their families have benefited from the scholarships Mr. Varrone created through his will.

ANN C. ESTEY REAVES AND JOHN C. REAVES MEMORIAL CATHOLIC SCHOOL BUILDING MAINTENANCE AND IMPROVEMENT FUND, CLS
This memorial fund was established to honor two individuals who cared a great deal for Catholic schools. One a school nurse and the other a civil engineer both knew the value of our Catholic schools. By supporting this fund you share in improving our school’s capital improvements and repairs. This fund helps to secure a safe and healthy learning environment for all our diocesan youth.

JOHN VENEZIA CATHOLIC SCHOOLS ENDOWMENT FUND, CLS
John Venezia was a superintendent for the diocesan schools before his untimely death. Because of his love and support for Catholic education, his wife Sheila and the Diocese established this memorial fund to supply needed instructional materials, such as books, supplies, equipment and the like, for the Diocese of Colorado Springs’ Catholic elementary schools.

LAURENT CARRIER, Estate Commitment, PPC

Laurent Carrier truly understands how to balance risk with reward and safety.

Concerned about the increasing cost of Catholic school tuition, in 2016 Laurent established a fund at the Pikes Peak Community Foundation and committed to the fund an estate commitment of three properties.  The ultimate goal of the Fund at PPCF is to allow Corpus Christ to be a tuition-free Catholic school.  Laurent also has committed his professional expertise to advise at no charge others who wish to explore an estate commitment benefiting CCCS.

NEIL & SUE GEISS, Estate Commitment, CLS

GLORIA MARTINEZ, Estate Commitment, CLS

JOHN KRAUS, Parish Life Insurance Designation, PPCF

KAREN SHANNAHAN, Contingent Life Insurance Beneficiary, PPCF

Those listed above have designated specifically Corpus Christi Catholic School in their estate plans.  This listing does not include those many who have designated Corpus Christi Church without also separately listing the school.  Annually, the Church supports the school with more than $150,000 in tuition assistance, so that those designating the Church do, additionally, assist the school.
